Black Bar Pierce — Korean Ink Editorial

A pure black-and-white editorial portfolio built around one typographic gesture: a thick black horizontal bar that Pretendard ExtraBold Korean letterforms visually pierce, splitting glyphs between white space and solid ink. No color, no ornament — the bar is the entire brand.

This template is a single-gesture design: everything is subordinated to the black-bar pierce, a device borrowed from Seoul fashion editorial where heavy Korean type becomes sculptural object rather than mere label. It refuses accent color, decorative frames, gradients, and icons on principle — not from restraint but from conviction that the letterform at 150px already contains all the drama the slide needs. It is built for designers who understand that removing is harder than adding, and whose audience respects that discipline. The gray mono Latin subtitle exists only to anchor language and role; it defers completely to the Korean name above.

Palette — Brutalist Mono

Prompt — Preview 1

Good for

  • · Korean-language personal branding decks where the name itself is the logo
  • · Print-ready PDF portfolios sent to editorial, fashion, or senior design clients
  • · Single-discipline designers (product, UX, identity) needing a singular title-card presence
  • · Closing slides and section dividers requiring maximum typographic impact with zero color

Avoid for

  • · Chart-heavy UX case studies requiring color-coded data layers or annotated flows
  • · Multi-contributor agency decks needing flexible accent colors per team or brand
  • · Presentations projected in dim or low-contrast rooms where black-on-white bleeds out
  • · Portfolios relying on full-bleed color photography as the primary compositional element
